I'm hoping that I can block the stitch work a bit neater and also hopefully add a little extra length as my daughter has had a growth spurt during the time I've been ignoring this project. Most unhelpful of her lol. Should be wide enough in the chest though as she's fairly skinny so maybe I could just pick up some stitches on the sleeves and hem to make it a bit longer :-)
I'm linking in with Tami and Ginny, hop over to their blogs to see what other people are up to this week :-)
Wow! A lot of work has gone into that lovely cardigan.
ReplyDeleteCertainly feels like it lol It's the 2 years size but it's knitted with fingering weight yarn. I'm a little anxious about cutting the steek at the end!
DeleteSo beautiful! I've never done any colorwork. Thank you for the inspiration! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is only my second time. I knitted a fake fair isle hat when I first started knitting but my floats at the back were too tight and it barely fitted a toddler
DeleteWhat a great cardigan, I admire your skills!
ReplyDeleteThank you :) The camera angle is flattering, it's much less neat if you look closer lol
DeleteThe colors really pop against one another! Its fun to look at.
ReplyDeleteThanks :) The original design was knitted in natural coloured yarn so shades of brown. As soon as I saw the pattern I imagined it in bright garish colours
Deletethat is truly stunning!! beautiful work!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that looks amazing! I hope your daughter now takes a little break from growing fast... ;-)
ReplyDeleteAll the best, K
This is just so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWow that is amazing hope it fits after all your hard work. I learnt the hard way about hibernating projects for wee children.......
