Keep Calm Craft On

Hi, hope everyone had a good Easter, whether you celebrate it or just enjoy some time off :-)

We've been rather busy over the long weekend. We've finally started decorating our house. Naturally we decided to start with a small, straight forward project. Like the hallway and landing... Hehehe well it needed doing and it's turned out nicely :-)

My Mum made the mirror. She has an instagram account if you want to see what else she gets up to :-)

We were rather bitten by the decorating bug and also decided to paint the downstairs loo

It took us so many tries to find the right shade for this room. Really happy with how this came out.

Mr Soaring Sheep has now gone away for the next 3 days so I'm going to try to have some chill out time. Maybe a little knitting and relaxing?

Perhaps not ;-)

It's the second week of the Easter holidays and the weather forecast is good so hopefully we'll have some nice days visiting the park, playing in the garden and going for walks.

Have a good week everyone! Hop over to Keep Calm Craft On for posts with a bit more crafty content!

  1. Goodness, your mom is very talented! I also really like the color you chose for your bathroom, makes it look "beachy".

    1. We have rather lol. It's been hard work but a lot of fun, we've waited a long time to be able to do this and we're very grateful to have got the chance.

I went for a 4.5 mile walk with the children and then the girls and I sat in the garden listening to the bees and enjoying the sunshine :) Hope you had some time enjoying the sun too :)

I love the colors that you painted your walls. The blue and lavender are both very pretty and calming.

  6. The decorating looks lovely - love the colour. And that mirror is so amazing! I would love one like that.
These school holidays have just flown past - I think they went faster for having Easter in the middle of the two weeks. It seems like we only just started holidays and they are nearly over! Sounds like you had a relaxing time.

    1. Thank you :) My Mum's advice was if you're stuck then find something in the room you want to make a feature of and pick out a colour from that. So if you've got some patterned curtains or blinds then pick a colour from there. Having said that for our bathroom we literally had 5 or 6 swatches up on the wall before we found the right colour lol

  8. Super cool how your mum is crafty too. I love how you have color in your house. I'm still figuring out some rooms for ours. And lucky kids to have two weeks for Easter.
