Busy Weekend

Morning everyone, hope you had a good weekend :) We finished decorating the lounge and have also picked out what colours we want to use in the kitchen and our bedroom. It's rather addictive this decorating thing lol. I'm thrilled with how the lounge colour has turned out, it's worked wonderfully :)

I know it's not a colour everyone will like but it's very us. Plus it's only painted so if when we sell the house the new people don't like it they can quickly and easily paint it something they prefer. It feels really good to have a colour that is so different to the beige coloured rental properties we've been living in for years.

I have also been able to get a bit of knitting done. I've been neglecting my Tully cardigan a bit because of being in a sock mood but I have got a bit of knitting done. I chose to do the puffy sleeve option rather than straight sleeves so at the moment I'm doing lots of increases

I've also turned the heel on my second sock. The fish lips kiss heel is so easy to work, I'm going to use it for Mr Soaring Sheep's socks too :)

Today I'm going to enjoy having Mr Soaring Sheep at home and hopefully go for a walk, potter around the garden and make the most of the sunshine. Have a good week everyone :)

  3. No, evidently not! Ah well, I think the wall colour is a great choice. Thank you for the comment on my blog - I don't think it would take that long to get there from you, as it's only just off the A1. There is also a really nice pub at Harby on the Lincolnshire side of the cycle route.

    1. Ooo thanks for the pub recommendation, definitely going to have to check the route out over the Summer to meet up with in-laws there. Thanks for commenting on my blog, sorry it was being a bit of a pain!

  4. That is a terrific teal. Paint what you like. You're the one living in that space. Great progress on these knits.

    1. Thank you :) It's hard isn't it, we were very lucky to be in the right place at the right time to get this one. I hope you get your own house soon

  6. I love that color. And I so admire people who dare to paint their walls deep colors. Even though I've owned houses for years, I tend to go with white! My daughter once painted her room Pepto Bismol pink. It's my room now and it took three coats to cover with white. But I'm glad I let her have her color; she really enjoyed it -- just like you are enjoying yours!

    1. I grew up in a house full of bright colours like this so I'm used to it I think. I like white walls too though, it can look so clean and peaceful when it's done right.
