I'm still hoping to get the neck cast off by the end of the week. I think it's doable with some effort on my part.
I've got a poorly boy at home at the moment so I'm hoping no one else gets ill. My in-laws are visiting us at the weekend so want to try to keep the house fairly tidy for that.
I've mostly been working on my secret project for Mr Soaring Sheep. I need to make 14 little projects and I've made 10 so far. Still need to decorate them though, need to find some felt and some buttons ;-) I need to get it finished in the next two weeks because after that he is home all the time so I won't get a chance to work on it.
For now though I've got a cup of tea to gulp down before I head off out again for a music recital at school. Busy busy busy!
Linking in with WIP Wednesday and Yarn Along today :-)
It's lovely.. the colors, the pattern.. seems very complicated! Good luck with finishing this, it will be great!
ReplyDeleteThank you :) I feel like I've got the rhythm of the colourwork now, it's just finding the time and brain power to do it that's the problem lol
Deletehope your little one is better soon! lovely knitting!

DeleteOh, wow! The sweater is looking awesome! I only just started knitting, and I can only hope to be able to make something like that some day! I hope the little one feels better quickly.
ReplyDeleteI added you to my bloglovin' and GFC lists! :-)
Thank you :) As far as knitting techniques go it's relatively simple. The colourwork is just a question of tension and making sure you don't pull too tightly when changing colour. The steek is easy in theory, just cutting with sharp scissors. Altogether though it is a bit daunting, it's taken me over a year since first seeing the pattern to being brave enough to make it
DeleteIt's looking great hope you get it done in it end all your other wee knits :)
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
