It was a little bit scary
But it worked! Hooray!
Just need to knit the button bands and find some buttons now :-) So close!
This week however I'm concentrating on Mr Soaring Sheep's present. I've not much time left before he's off work for Christmas. I might have to resort to kicking him and the children out of the house at some point so I can work on it in peace!
Fantastic result. But I don't think I would ever attempt it!
ReplyDeleteThank you :) It was rather scary but when it worked it was like magic. Definitely want to do steeking again, very cool
DeleteBeautiful!!! This is on my 2014 to-try list and I am a little scared ... alright I am downright terrified so this is very encouraging. Looks like it was well received.
ReplyDeleteIt took me a year from seeing the pattern to getting round to knitting it because I was scared. Go for it, it's really good fun...afterwards lol!
Deleteoh wow, that is lovely!! It looks so difficult to do, I love the little model you have wearing it....very adorable!
ReplyDeleteIt's not actually that difficult, the hardest part with the colourwork is getting the tension right so it doesn't pucker. The steeking bit is easy, just cut with sharp scissors!
DeleteVictory on that little one!
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious little smile!!! The sweater is beautiful...what a lot of work! I'm hoping someday to be able to tackle a project such as that. :)
