I've been making more squares for my blanket and sewn on another row of squares. Now I'm back to making the next batch of squares so I can keep adding to it. It would be lovely to get it done by January but I think that will be a bit optimistic! Maybe I should aim for my son's birthday at the beginning of April instead!
My colourwork cardigan has had a little attention since last week but not much really. It is nice seeing it come together. It's fun the way the rows get smaller every other round, feels like I'm speeding up
My sock that I cast on for baby sitting has gone back into it's project bag to wait until the cardigan is finished. I just wanted to show you how much I managed to do in that one evening.
(Don't worry about the many pins stuck in it, one is to mark the cable row, one to mark the start of the sock and one to mark 40 rows so I don't have to start back at the bottom pin every time I want to check what row I'm on. It makes sense to my head at least!)
Now I mentioned a bonus FO so here it is. I've really enjoyed making these little pot cosies, they make me smile :-)
^This is where the pot actually lives at the moment but so you can see the crochet a bit better I moved it onto the fireplace. It actually looks quite happy there too doesn't it
I used the Attic24 Jar Cosy pattern again and the flower was from this pattern. I must say I'm rather tempted by the idea of making a little cushion using these flower squares (the pattern has instructions for making the squares, I just didn't use them for this project). Something with bright fresh colours, possibly for the Spring? Hmm...
Thanks for popping by. I'm linking in with WIP Wednesday and Yarnalong today
I love the little flower pot cozy! So cute :)
ReplyDeleteGoodness me - that colourwork looks tricky - well done on persevering!
ReplyDeleteIt's not tricky as such but it's been very time consuming!
DeleteI agree, I love when knitting speeds up as you close in on the end of a project. The cardigan is beautiful!! I just locking markers in my knitting to keep track of 'stuff' because I'm awful at writing down details.
ReplyDeleteHehe it's great isn't it. Thank you :) I write down some details like the number of stitches for a sleeve but I like the markers to remind me of little things quickly so I don't have to go to the trouble of looking them up
Deletehow cool! I love Attic 24's blog - I always wish I could go with her on one of her lovely walks! :)
ReplyDeleteWith a coat with granny square cuffs? :)
DeleteThat pot cosy is cute and festive for Christmas. I'm stil trying to figure out what to do for seven teachers, sigh.
