FO Friday Owls jumper and some stash busting

I finished my Owls jumper!!

Oh I love it :-)

It keeps me so warm and cosy, perfect for the cold weather that's coming in

I made the body 20" from the underarms and although I can't remember the sleeve length I made sure that they were long enough that I could pull my hands inside to keep them warm. For a taller than "average" person I have a long torso and arms than shop bought clothes cater for so it's nice to have something custom fitted to just me :-) Fab. So pleased with it :-)

My other FO is this pair of longies made using my own pattern and yarn dyed by Woolly Wumpkins that has been in my stash for ages:

And here a few photos of my little girl modelling them. I say "little", she's going to be 2 at the end of March and is looking alarmingly grown up for my taste! She chatters away all the time bossing us about but can still make my heart melt by looking up at me with arms outstretched and saying "Mummy, cuggle!" (cuddle)

And now some poses :-)

    1. Thank you :-) She is cute, but she knows it too. She will look up at you through her eye lashes and put on a cute face to get what she wants lol

  2. The owl sweater looks great on you--- and even though I fit into store clothes alright most of the time, I'm starting to see what you mean- it is nice to have something fit properly.
And your little girl is just darling!! Especially in those bright colored pants!

    1. Thank you :-) I think the only downside with hand knitted is the time taken to make them lol. At least the Owls jumper is made using chunky yarn so doesn't take too long at all.

She is very sweet when she wants to be :-)

  3. Isn't the Owl sweater a joy to knit? I've been wanting to knit another one lately, you've made me want to knit one even more now! I also approve of your decision to not do the button eyes, I think that the pattern looks better without them. It looks perfect on you, so perfect! But I have to say, I want a pair of those rainbow pants, they are pretty awesome!

    1. I did wonder about doing eyes on maybe one of the owls but I couldn't decide what colour buttons would work best so I left it. It was lovely to knit, I'd be willing to go bottom up again. This was only my second time doing it and I wasn't too keen on the first time as it was raglan style and I kept messing up the decreases because I was tired/distracted.

    1. Thank you :-) My husband jokes that I'm cold blooded because when I get cold it takes me forever to warm up again. I love having cosy jumpers to keep me warm :-)
