WIP Wednesday and Bloglovin

Hi fellow craft lovers! This week I've been working on reducing my mountain of WIP's . On Saturday I had 5 WIP's, I now have 3 :-D On Monday I finished my Wingspan shawl and yesterday I finished my Oh Summer mystery KAL cardigan.

I know 5 WIP's isn't a lot for many of you, but I was finding it overwhelming. My plan is to tackle them one at a time until they're all finished. Today's project is the Summer Storm mystery KAL:

As you can see, it needs a collar, sleeves and pockets. Hopefully this won't take me too long although I doubt I'll finish it today as I'm not going to have much knitting time.

I've also been a bit naughty and done a couple more squares for my new WIP, a blanket for my 4 year old. I'm using the Solid Granny Squares pattern from Tiny Tin Bird. I love how the lacey corners result in pretty diamonds :-)

I should probably get round to weaving those ends in soon too :-S

      Well, maybe not the blanket squares lol but I think I should manage the other two before the month is out :-)

    I'm sure your one at a time approach will help you sort through your WIPs, Gorgeous cardi on a cute model and I love the colours of your blanket.

      hopefully so :) The blanket yarn is a "Lucy pack", a selection of colours inspired by the Attic24 blogger

      lol yeah it's too many for my brain to cope with. Forcing myself to work one at a time and get them finished seems to be working well for me

    I'm right there with you 5 WIPs is a lot ... I tend to re-name them "hibernating projects", somehow it makes me feel less guilty.

    What a cutiepie model you have there, can't wait to see it finished.

      I think if I renamed them hibernating projects I'd never finish them :-S My cushion cover has been waiting for ages now because I keep putting off sewing it together

    Good for you! Those are great colors in the blanket - my daughter (5yr) would love them! Can't wait to see the finished sweater on your handsome little guy too!

      thanks :) Can't take credit for the colours, it was a Lucy pack of Stylecraft dk. Vest sleeves are now done apart from ends sewing in. Going to do pockets and collar tomorrow, too tired this evening

    I hear ya - I try to limit my WIPs to 3 at a time, but sometimes things just happen!!

      3 works well for me too actually. 1 crochet, 1 mindless knitting and 1 complex knitting such as lace. I think the problem was I had two projects on the go already and then joined in with two MKAL's thinking I'd be able to finish the original projects in between clues. Slightly too ambitious I feel :-S

    I love those squares. I think your son will like the blanket when you are done. I don't know if you are aware but feedly has an app for your smart phone. I have it on my Android and my ipad. Hope that helps.

      I've got the app, it just crashes everytime I try to run it. Judging from the reviews it seems to be a fairly common issue. My phone's an android.

      I hope he does like the blanket :) I'm not looking forward to sewing all the squares together but he insisted that was what he wanted rather than a ripple blanket so I guess I'm stuck with it lol

    I personally think five WIPs is many. Three even makes me anxious! I try to only have two although I do have three right now.
    That blue is so nice. It's perfect for your son.
    I looked at Feedly online but I guess you have to download the app? I use bloglovin' and it's so user friendly.
