I've finally finished the ruffle! Took a while to do and aages to cast off but looks ok I think. I tried it on my 5 year old son to check the sizing and it's a little tighter than I'd have liked but should fit my daughter fine. I got all of this knitting done from just one ball of yarn, not bad! Think I'll do long sleeves and then the rest of the yarn can go into my scrappy granny squares ;-)
It looks lovely! ruffles do take forever (Im working on one at the moment) but are so worth it when done!
ReplyDeleteAgreed, I love how girly ruffles look and the ones in this pattern have an almost scalloped looking edge because they end up being k1 p3. I'll have to try to get a photo of it later
DeleteAwww, very cute! The ruffles are definitely my favorite part. Also, way to use up scraps by working on your granny squares too!
ReplyDeleteI am seriously loving granny squares for scrap-busting. So quick to work up and fun to do. Not too keen on weaving in all the ends though but I'm trying to be good and do them as I go rather than ending up with a load at the end :-)
