I'm normally fairly quick at sewing in ends but for some reason I haven't done that with these. The hats only have one end each to sew, so I've no idea what my excuse is with them. The red sweater I've done most of the ends but I need to check the instructions for sewing the collar down and I also need to acquire some buttons. I might have the right size in my stash but I doubt it.
I picked up a hibernating WIP the other day and added a few rows. I've not shown it to you in a while so if you look on the left hand side you might be able to spot a safety pin which marks the row I was on last time
I'm enjoying working on it but urgh it's slow. I'm loving the effect of the stitch pattern though so I'll keep on with it.
Speaking of Pippin, look how big he's getting now!
Actually this photo was taken a couple of weeks ago so he's changed a bit since then. He's 4 months old now and has started puppy classes. The first session was last week and he introduced himself to everyone by barking very loudly for a very long time. We were really popular after that ;-)
He's started getting his adult teeth so lots of things are getting chewed. He seems to have a fondness for the delicious pencils and pens the children leave out. Last night though my phone charger was the casualty. Thanks Pip!
Enjoy your down time! Tennis and me don't mix very well. I have always ended up using ALL the courts instead of just mine to play. LOL!! I guess yelling FORE on the tennis courts don't get the right reaction from other players.
ReplyDeleteOh are we only supposed to use one court at a time? I think I do the same thing lol ;) I once hit a ball at the back of the instructor's head, whoops!
DeleteLove the hibernating work in progress such beautiful colour combination and great pattern.
ReplyDeleteThank you :-) It's a dead easy pattern but a really nice effect
DeleteDon't you love it when an outside activity is cancelled and it means you get to stay cosy inside, will be good for you to get some rest from your couch to 5k :)
ReplyDeleteYour knits are looking good, and there is something I dislike about sewing in ends....such a pesky task. Your crochet blanket looks amazing, although I could definitely imagine it being a very time consuming project, but it will be very satisfying when you finish it!!
Pippin looks adorable :) I love pets, they are lovely to have around.
Have a good weekend x
Oh yes, I enjoyed spending the time on the sofa with hot cups of tea and some knitting lol :)
DeleteThank you :) He's currently crashed out on the floor after puppy class. It's hard work barking at everyone :)
He looks much more mature now. If you don't do so already, pls stretch before and after jogging. I know a few friends who don't beforehand and I think with our age, it's essential. You are so fun to take tennis. I took a college class once and hated chasing after those green balls. My tween takes it at school once a week; the price per class is such a deal.
ReplyDeleteOh yes we definitely stretched, I learned the importance of that after my first tennis lesson when I could barely walk for the rest of the weekend lol.
DeleteI have a friend who's been taking tennis lessons with my instructor for a while so when a class started up I thought I'd give it a go. I really enjoy it even though I'm pretty rubbish. The instructor is a sweetie although he does take the micky out of me most of the time lol
You are very good jogging and then wanting to play tennis I say your calves definitely need a rest. Lovely knits and I love your wip too, stick with it you will be glad that you did (that's what I keep telling myself anyway. Have a great weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you :) I think I'm having a turning 30 crisis. It's my birthday in April and for some reason I thought it would be a good idea to Get Fit. It hurts lol.
DeleteHave a lovely weekend :)
Working on your WIP's sounds like a much better idea to me than sliding around on a tennis court! xx
ReplyDeletehehe certainly less chance of broken ankles!
DeleteBut you can't be mad at that face!!! I just adore him.
ReplyDeleteHe can certainly be adorable when he wants to be :)
DeleteOh what a lovely way to spend the day all snug and cosy and knitterly - can't wait to see them finished!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I need to get some photos of the finished sweater, my son wore it all weekend so I think he likes it
DeleteFirst of all I must say that your header images are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteYour knits look great and - oh my - Pippin looks super cute.
Have a lovely weekend!
Thank you :) He is a very sweet boy, currently lying on his back on the sofa next to me
DeleteOh doesn't Pippin look sweet! I love the smile! x
ReplyDeletehe is lovely, when he wants to be. Also a bitey menace at the moment too, boo to teething!
DeleteBut who couldn't fall in love with that face?
ReplyDeleteYou are so productive, but then one does have to deal with the ends.
I think leaving the finishing off may be why I seem productive lol
DeleteHe's exactly the same age as Chase! He's gorgeous, I'm loving catching up on lots of photos of him in one go (I yet again have over 100 unread blogs in my reader argh!)
