4KCBWDAY3 - Infographic

Today's theme for Knitting and Crochet Blog Week was as follows: "Make your own infogaphic (no fancy imaging software needed, you can draw it on paper and photograph it if you want) to convey any element of your craft(s). It can be just for fun or a thoroughly researched presentation of an idea/finding."

I'll be honest, my first thought was eeek! Bit of a daunting idea and what on earth can I do an infographic about? I'm not entirely convinced I know what an infographic actually is! Well, I sat down, had a think and came up with an idea. This won't be the prettiest or most accurate infographic in the world but here goes!

I often like to imagine knitting as having "levels", probably as a result of playing quite a few computer games in my youth (says the aged 27 year old me!). When I learn a new skill I imagine a little star being added to my knitting abilities, perhaps with a celebratory music jingle. "Evelyn has unlocked level 2 lace knitting, ka-ching!"

I don't know if I'll ever make "Master Knitter" but I enjoy improving my skills and learning new techniques. Something to aim for perhaps :-)

Thanks for dropping by :-) Remember if you want to read more Day 3 posts from Knitting and Crochet Blog Week you can search for "4KCBWDAY3" or just click here

  1. LOL I like it :-) Might argue a couple, but can definitely agree on the Master one :-)

  2. I too am stressing about what on earth I'm going to do for an infographic! I really like your idea. It's kind of similar to the levels of knitting in Knitting Rules, though instead of an infographic, she has witty little descriptions for each level.

  3. Very interesting infographic. Knitting is like that tho. Your chart reminds me of differentiated learning in a classroom.

  5. Love the chart. Sometimes I think I will be forever stuck at the beginner level... with the exception of the Master stash level! :)

    1. Aw don't be afraid of challenging yourself, it's only yarn after all, what the worse that could happen? :-)

  6. I don't think that I'm anywhere near a "master" level yet....but I do have SABLE. A few times over, I think...

  8. Awesome! Now everytime I try something new and succeed I'm going to get the Mario level complete sound in my head.
Which means I'll immediately start laughing to myself and everyone around me will think I'm crazier than I actually am.
    Great concept!
